  • The Hickory Museum of Art has been a part of Extravaganza several shows. They have provided youth activities such as soap carving and other activities of interest such as pottery, cane/rush work, book making, art decoy construction, and more!

  • NCWoodturner’s Association: Hands on instruction on working on the lathe – Learn to Turn a Pen
  • Western Piedmont Woodcrafters
  • NCWoodworker.net – How to: Light sabers on the lathe, Golf Tee Puzzle Game (similar to what you see on the tables at restaurants), Scroll Saw, Pyrography, Sharpening, and Hand Plane Use demos
  • Carolina Mountain Woodturners will have their Turning Learning Center at our event for the 7th straight year!
  • In 2011, over 5,000 consumers attended this woodworking event

  • Western Piedmont Community College: Courtney Long demonstrate pottery. Western Piedmont Community College will display a selection of student woodworking projects. Stop by and meet the College’s Professional Crafts: Wood instructors, learn about woodworking classes, free visiting artist workshops and other opportunities.
